Married Firecat plays the first rehearsal with "burning fingers" and joins the band. bob supervisor screams the first rehearsal with an exiting rock´n´roll-throat and joins the band. 3/2002 sexadvisor decides to be the steady drummer of the band. lars and sebastian from tuntun take fotos and make the first logos and covers. private shows on march 29 2002 and april 1. 2002 at the rehearsalroom in warschauer str 61. a filmteam around marcel takes the first videos. 4/2002 rockass online. www.rockass.org is a vicked old-style html website with many hits. 5/2002 oerbit invites rockass to their first gig in a club calld loch ("the hole") in berlin friedrichshain. on may 31. 2002 Rockass plays the debut in front of 180 "impressed" people. stephan schute and jürgen nowel take the first live-pics. surprisingly, rockass is booked for the next show at the k77. many visitors on the homepage. 6/2002 prenzlberg, 10-years k77. rockass plays open-air-gig and meets ansgar, the soundengeineer of the night. he makes the suggestion to record the band 7/2002 rifle, lapin kulta and gotta go on released on the internet 8/2002 niklas from lucies brainfuck makes a postproduction, and sebastian makes a cover for the cd "ROCKASS" 9/2002 rockass plays in the setting sun a trashy gig on jazz-mietz-punk in the mauerpark (prenzlberg) and is booked for eberswalde 10/2002 gigs in the kvu (mitte) with both-ends-burning and in eberswalde (fh) and in the kiste (hellersdorf) with lucies brainfuck. first live-video). rockass is asked to play a supportgig for the rämouns. 11/2002 conzert at the wb13 (hohenschönhausen) with lucies brainfuck. the hut is burning with only 30 dancing punkrockers. 999 visitors on rockass.org. hendrik schröder from radio fritz makes an interview with rockass. 12/2002 rockass make a new recording with ansgar (post holocaust pop, php): "too many notes", "ansgar said", "silver & gold", "you got a reason" and "surrounded by assholes" in the rehearsalroom. a new homepage by wolfgang baro erscheint is relaunched and added to rockass.org. 01/2003 rockass.org-guestbook online. gigd at k17 (f-hain) with Freddy´s Dinner as support of the famous RÄMOUNS, at the intertank (kreuzberg) with lucies brainfuck and at the wild at heart (kreuzberg) with grubby things. 02/2003 gig at club 18 with downshifter in marzahn. plagues (have a laugh at warriors) is written with mathew, influenced by the apocalypse. 03/2003 gigs at the café zapata and party-gig with mini-amps: the audiance can´t stop moving! ROCKASS 2002 with all recordings from 2002. 04/2003 "no more hamburgers" (by soilent grün, the former band of the "die ärzte") in the rockass version is recorded for the soilent grün sampler. Rockass play the Wild at heart with the cherry valence, in Neustrelitz with Freddy´s Dinner. 05/2003 Rockass perform at the Butterclub on Niklas Birthdayparty, in Haldensleben at the Club (save the CLUB!), at the Mudd Club with Good Witch of the south, in Gießen at AK 44 and organize an 1 YEAR ROCKASS LIVE ON STAGE ASSROCKIN´ PARTY with special guests... 06/2003 Rockass plays on the day of the Fete de la Musique at the Zielona Gora apart of the Fete de la Musique. but the concert can not happen. 07/2003 Rockass is suggested to sound like Zeke, Turbonegro or Nashville Pussy on an open air show at wb 13 by a guy from the netherlands who took thausands of photos: can you send us some of the photos?!?! 08/2003 new recordings. In Magdeburg, Youtah is missing: ill! GOM records offers rockass shirts. a Video with the last gig with Firecat at the Butterclub is released as a download on rockass.org. 10/2005 "You got a reason" on the Lebenswege-Trailer. 11/2005 De Ruths wear Rockass-Shirts on Tour ;-) ROCKASS starts a partnership with morganarecords.com. Han Solo is interviewed by Sebastian Wollendorf for Radio Fritz. 12/2005 "Hell´s mouth" and "Kiss your ass good bye" are ready, belonging to a certain tradition of desert sound in the Rockass history, as in the early song Red Rock. 1/2006 Rockass and Xaja perform at the Café Zapata on 21th, birth of the legendary live recording Rockass and Xaja at the Café Zapata. A live version of Gotta go on is released on the Kaperfahrt-Sampler Nr.1 by Jolly Roger Punkrock. Rockass and Volcano play at the Knaack, where the Specimens didn´t arrive due to a car brakdown in france. 2/2006 rockass.eu is announced as a knew rockass domain. our sexadviser quits the band due to an occupational and a private decision. Rockass is in black. 3/2006 Castings and rehearsals, e.g. with robsch (tsunami) and Skinny Drumm (Tafelsüße) 4/2006 Rockass on tour in Switzerland with Meyer from Luzern. 20 or 30 devils were dancing at the KIK. The Sedel was full - of course, it´s a prison! Fat sound! At the Restaurant Metzgerhalle the typical audiance of Luzern - but, just as in every other city: some people dance, some tip their toe, some drinking their beers, but afterwords big compliments! ROCKASS is compared with ZEKE (a good moment to die!)!!! 10/2006 Rockass releases Videos from the Livegig in Bremen on DVD, Youtube and Myspace. 1/2008 ROCKASS releases the Video "Rifle (In the night of the undead)" on Youtube and Myspace. The Video has more than 100 views in the first 6 days. It shows paintings by bob supervisor, scenes from a rainy Berlin and live impressions and is produced by han solo. 3/2008 ROCKASS perform a not anounced concert with the Sexadviser on march 29!!!!! Everybody in the club is surprised and starts to dance. 6/2008 ROCKASS plays in good ole Magdeburg. The Show starts at half past 11, after the soccer match. Before an unplugged show an the sidewalk in front of the club with side bass, side drum and side guitar, ehm, side amp, ehm battery amp. And then ROCKASS, and the unbelievable BugGirl and the Heartbrake Engines from Essen-Rüttenscheid. Skoal. 6/2009 Boosi and Skinny plan a fête de la musique at the club Bios. On june 21 Moribund Reverie, Voltron, Rockass and Radio Strahl perform on the Club Bios open air stage - or rather Moribund Reverie and VOLTRON play open air, but then it starts raining cats and dogs. ROCKASS and Radio Strahl play inside in the Club. Also, on the second stage in the area, Rotor, Coogans Bluff and friends play until they swim away. All in all an awesome happenig with BBQ and the fattest sound ever.... Side note: Harry from Moribund Reverie recorded the hole event, a requestet bootleg in Underdog circles ;-). Some of the ROCKASS songs are recorded with a video camera and appeare on youtube. Han Solo was flown in from a bithdayparty of his mom to play the gig... "Mom, i have to quit for a night out". On June 27 ROCKASS is invited to play at the record release for "High and Low", the new Xaja album at Tor III, "Gemhütte", named after the steel works in that place. In october, Xaja is expected in Berlin to play the return vosit. 8/2009 ROCKASS starts recording the tracks for a new album in Berlin Friedrichshain, Alt-Strahlau with Gunnar at the desk. Drums and bass are recorded first, but the band is playing together to get a certain live feeling. 9/2009 The Torpedosuckers invite ROCKASS for a studio massaker in Berlin Marzahn: Bob Superviser (throat), Youtah Rockass (git) and Han Solo (git) play tracks on a song for the new Torpedosuckers release with many other mates. An awesome night!!! After the Session a night out in the Tiki Heart, the Milchbar and......... The ROCKASS recording carries on. Charly speaks the on the end of "Love song massacre". With a fät sound (thx to Gunnar!) guitar tracks, vocals and backings are burned on the hard disk drive. At the end of the day there are 7 songs, plus some specials for the release... 10/2009 Working on the ROCKASS recordings, Preparing for the next concert with Xaja at the Cortina Bob, Radio Fritz broadcasts a pre-release of the new album on octobre 23th, during "Nightflight". Xaja plays a cool show and opens the evening. During their show the youtube video "moneymaker" sees the light of the day. ROCKASS starts playing, and the crowd stqrts to pogo and to dance. They sing along the sing alongs, they throw their shirts on Youtah after the solos, they stage dive. Thx to Dorle and Mischka. 05/2010 Shit, the tracks are mastered, let's finish the cover!
